Overview

Our client, a leading kosher dairy manufacturer, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Sales Director to lead and grow its sales operations. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, optimizing sales processes, and fostering a high-performance culture across the in-house team and external sales representatives. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the kosher dairy industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer value.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, support, and achieve the annual sales plan for both in-house employees and external sales representatives.

  • Identify and implement innovative sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

  • Set daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals to guide and measure performance.

  • Ensure effective management of sales distribution channels.

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations, motivating the team to align with company goals.

  • Hold the team accountable against specific KPIs.

  • Train and coach team members on new systems, processes, and best practices.

  • Continuously assess and optimize how the team uses tools and systems.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Strengthen relationships with existing customers and develop new ones through a customer-centric culture.

  • Ensure strategic accounts are managed effectively and receive exceptional support.

  • Collaborate across departments to maximize customer satisfaction and overall revenue.

Systems & Process Optimization

  • Actively participate in the implementation of a new ERP system, focusing on the sales module.

  • Lead training initiatives for the sales team on the new ERP and monitor adoption.

  • Ensure optimal utilization of sales tools and technologies.

Industry Expertise & Reporting

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the company culture and the kosher dairy industry.

  • Prepare professional sales reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage sales budgets, planning, and forecasting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven success leading sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems and CRM platforms.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with kosher food industry standards is a strong asset.
